My Mom started a Material & Wool Shop in Standerton in 1979 and I always knew that one day I would like to open a shop like that. I got the opportunity to buy RASH in August 2016 and so my family business started in Durbanville. The shop then, only sold fabric, haberdashery, Brother Sewing, Embroidery & Craft machines, but I knew something was still missing so we have expanded our business to include a full range of wool & yarns with all the trimmings.
MY LOVE OF CROCHET
My love of crochet was inspired by my friend Naomi from Richards Bay, who taught me how to crochet and I started off with doilies. Off course I was hooked, something that my mother was very proud, as she had to do all my knitting and sewing projects at school.
MY DAUGHTER
My daughter joined me in the business, and as someone who has never crocheted or sewn before, has taken up both hobbies with animation.

My customers are becoming more like friends to us. We love sharing ideas, choosing colours and wool for their knitting and crochet projects and no matter what they want to create, we’ve got everything they need to get it done.

We are conveniently situated in the heart of Durbanville, Cape Town. Even though our focus is primarily on Wool and our Brother Sewing & Embroidery Machines, we do stock a variety of accessories required for hand embroidery, assortment of Fabrics and a large range of Haberdashery.
